Lanoha Nurseries is proud to provide top of the line trucks, trailers, and equipment + a great mechanic team to keep our fleet moving. This position is a great opportunity for a mechanic who likes to work on varieties of equipment and work in a fast paced environment.
Requirements
- Educational background in diesel technology or tenure in similar positions
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to interpret schematics; or ability to learn with on the job training
- Ability to work with a team mentality, redirect, and apply urgency where needed most
- Safe lifting techniques & use of lifting support resources
- Ability to work outside in NE weather conditions
- Possession of own tools; journeyman level tool set or willingness to acquire
- Drivers License required. CDL is a plus!
- Knowledge of DOT Regulations is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Mechanical maintenance of multiple types of equipment including commercial trucks, vehicles and construction equipment.
- Diagnostics and repairs on gas & diesel engines, agricultural and construction equipment
- Mechanic shop work and roadside repairs
- Team mentality; cross collaboration and prioritization with divisional leadership and operators
- Maintain a Safe work environment and safe operation of equipment
- Inventory support for shop tools, parts, and equipment
- DOT inspection support; on the job inspection training provided
